Acceptable Items

Food scraps

Fruit and vegetable scraps, meat, poultry and fish scraps including bones, cheese and dairy scraps, all solid food leftovers, bread, pasta and grains, eggshells and nutshells, coffe grounds and filters, tea bags

Food soiled paper

Paper towels and napkins, paper food wrap, greasy pizza boxes, food soiled cardboard, paper grocery bags containing food scraps, uncoated paper plates and cups.

Yard waste

leaves, grass, and weeds, plant trimmings, branches, house plants, flower bouquets

Unacceptable items

animal waste or pet litter, ashes, diapers, bath tissue, construction debris, foil, glass, garbage, ice cream cartons, liquids, metals, milk cartons, plastics or plastic bags, plastic coated paper plates or cups, styrofoam, rocks.
